About

A message to our community

In 1985, a group of alcoholics in Connecticut , created a conference, to carry the AA message of recovery, unity, and service to young people in AA. To encourage young people in AA to become actively involved in service. To acquaint members of the fellowship with all the activities available to them throughout Area II. It is this years committee’s obligation to ensure that our annual conference goes on as planned. (CSCYPAA 35)

This is extremely important as we are living in an unprecedented time. Our nation and the world as we know it has been greatly affected by COVID-19. With advice from our governor, we are advised not to gather in groups of 5 or more to help stop the spread and mitigate the virus. With this in mind the “CSCYPAA” committee has voted to hold a Virtual Conference.

Safety is our number one priority, but sobriety is our business. So the major question that was extremely difficult to answer was how can we spread the message and help the alcoholic who still suffers without having a traditional in person convention? We are fortunate to live in a time where we are constantly connected via technology. So the answer then, became so simple. Why don’t we use something that is extremely accessible and fairly convenient? TECHNOLOGY! The “Virtual Conference” idea was born on a virtual meeting, on a platform that has become well known in our A.A community.

This means that this years conference will technically be all digital, Our program and co- program chair are working extremely hard with help of the whole committee to offer and array of activities , marathon meetings and so much more. We hope this message find you in good health. We are open to feedback and attached to this letter is a brief questionnaire. With your input we can make this a conference one remember.

Yours Truly,

CSCYPAA 2020 Committee
